Job Summary: CORE, Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (formerly ACE), is the RTX operating system. It focuses on the drivers of excellence — our people and our work processes. The Operations team is seeking a CORE Lead to drive our team’s adoption of the CORE operating model and implement meaningful changes to our processes, tools and work environment to improve our ability to deliver on customer commitments. As a member of the Operations team, the CORE Lead will be a key driver of systemic continuous improvement.

The CORE Lead will drive a culture of continuous improvement and connecting all employees with experiences to improve. Formulate, implement, and evaluate the CORE Strategic plan, including short and long-term objectives in support of our aligned Macro Plans in Operations. Lead Operations CORE projects and events to achieve business objectives and CORE progression. Champion change communications to package and flow-down critical elements of organizational vision, mission, and business performance to support a transformational culture and positive work environment. Encourage technological innovation and process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, cost reduction and customer satisfaction. Demonstrate ethical leadership and compliance.

Lead CA CMC CORE Maturity Assessment, Voice of the Customer including Internal customer engagements and surveys, Goal Alignment, Macro Plan, Control Tower, CORE Leadership Weeks, and CORE engagements. Organize, Structure, and Drive the Core Control Room connecting the floor to the GM, elevating issues and tracking them to closure with proper assignments and dates. Represent the El Segundo CACMC Core Control Room with Executive Leadership. Connect the Internal Customers to the Core Control Room. Reduce meeting requirements by empowering the customer with the Data they seek, conveying back to the GM when a course correction is needed.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Enhance and utilize Business Strategy and Continuous improvement methods and tools.

  • CORE Organizational Improvement – Drive Control Room Improvements

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.

  • Develop Ops Review packages for senior-level briefings decision makers.

  • Be ready for special assignments to help us solve business problems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CORE Champion Certification (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) and working experience in lean, continuous improvement, or operations. Certification may be obtained within the first 6 months.

  • Prior experience applying problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience working independently while delivering on expectations.

  • Excellent leadership skills, critical thinking skills, business discernment, and ability to innovate.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Experience with MRP and Shop Floor Data Management Tools, Microsoft Office tools, and capable to work with a developer for new tools.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
