Job Title – AVP LDB DMI Finance – SkinBetter Science

Division: L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty

What You Will Learn:

The position will have full Affaire Produit P&L responsibilities including overseeing the Margin & PIG financial reporting and analysis as well as overseeing the cost controlling responsibilities for the SkinBetter Science DMI. This position works directly with the LDB DMI Finance Controller, the SBS DMI Marketing Teams, SBS DMI General Management, CAI & Operations, and Affaire Marche Finance Teams in managing the SBS DMI P&L in order to promote optimal decision making within the business.

  • Required qualification of Business Plan analysis and fiscal awareness in an InterGroup business environment

  • Coordination of the SBS AFP creation (Setting up Cost Centers, Business Areas, and product flows)

  • Impactful special projects / new initiatives project management with high level of exposition and extreme rigor needed

  • Provide Financial support and guidance to the DMI Finance Leads and the DMI Marketing teams

  • Manage the A&P budget file in totality including planned and actual spend and ensure expenses are classified in accordance to the L'Oreal Finance Norms

  • Responsibility for monthly closing journal entries, actuals reporting and analysis

  • Monthly closing of the COMPASS Cost Module and Monthly COMPASS Officializations

  • Responsibility for A&P & SG&A budget and trend creation and maintenance in Compass

  • Inform Financial Controller of risks & opportunities identified through budget management and ongoing meetings with business partners

  • Ad hoc analysis to evaluate spend and enable management to make sound business decisions

  • Ad hoc projects to improve controls / reporting

  • Monthly Analysis of Worldwide Net Sales

  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations Finance Teams for proper maintenance of the Product Hierarchy and accurate reporting of PVIS

  • Partner with the Industrial Development Team to ensure spending levels fall within Budgeted / Trended approved amounts (Liaison with the French Team for their Industrial Development requirements)

  • AFP Margin monthly reconciliation and analysis on actual vs forecast

  • AFP Margin Budget and Trend building on actual vs forecast related to AFP Margin

  • Leading role in the development and communication of the AFP Transfer Pricing Process

  • Ensure Micro T / Macro T calculations for the Transfer Pricing exercise are accurate and communicated effectively

  • Liaison with Paris in the coordination of the PIG monthly reporting exercise to ensure monthly results, Trend, and Budgets are reported properly

  • Play a key role in the development of Monthly, Trend, and Budget SEQ’s (Stock Equations) to ensure accurate building of Margin profit objectives

  • Analyze monthly results of Margin and PIG to ensure AFP Businesses are achieving Fiscal Profit Objectives

  • Lead contact to ensure the AFP triangular flow is working properly. Take a lead role in the Triangular flow reconciliation process

  • Prepare, direct, identify risks and opportunities, and make recommendations for area(s) of responsibility

  • Ensure cost control and lead budget meetings with business partners

  • Provide direction, training, coaching and development to team and staff

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience required

  • 10+ years of experience in finance preferred (MBA/CPA a plus)

  • Strong computer skills required (Excel a must)

  • SAP or TM1/Cognos a plus

  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills; business acumen; leadership skills; oral and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA/CPA a plus

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
