This is the only business in RI&S that spans all of our customers' operational domains and touches all technologies, including OPIR, RF and comms. The Associate Chief Engineer-Space & C2, will provide technical oversight of the engineering work conducted in our business, particularly in the area of transformation. This role is the engineering leadership point of contact and is responsible for the engineering oversight and execution of technical, schedule and financial aspects including EACs, gates and proposal development and approval.

This role is highly strategic with regard to how we transform our engineering processes and philosophy.

Position Responsibilities:

Section and technical manager for program chief engineers, which is a group of approximately 8 individuals

As an engineering fellow, participate actively in mentoring and coaching

Work with talent acquisition to recruit high quality chief engineering talent

Establish product lines for Space & C2 offerings

Communicating RI&S's strategy to customers, and will be responsible for infusing a digital thread into both suppliers and customers

The Deputy will take the lead in working with Engineering Centers to identify and provide engineering resources needed to get required engineering work product requirements done (people, processes, facilities & tools) to all Space and C2 Business Area.

Provide a leadership role in proposal development

Ability to obtain and maintain up to a TS/SCI clearance


Broad knowledge base that spans RF, optical and communications payloads

Requires a knowledge of mission and space vehicle engineering

Heavy technical expertise required in spacecraft, space sensors and space mission engineering

Desired qualifications:

Active TS/SCI clearance

Knowledge in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML & DoDAF


Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Advanced degree preferred.

This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
