We are searching for the best talent for SUPPLY CHAIN DIRECTOR to be in Ciudad Juarez (BWI Site)
The Global Planning Director role is responsible for all activities related to component strategic capacity planning and purchasing, with focus on the Salvarcar and Horizontes Biosense Webster (BWI) sites. Responsible for attaining global key performance indicators including supply / purchase order attainment, inventory (gross/net dollars, DOS), and Slow Moving/Obsolete (SLOB). This role is accountable for the component strategic capacity planning and purchasing Supply Chain planning processes globally for BWI, and is accountable for collaboration with external partners and partner sites to ensure meets process and system expectations. As a key people leader, leads talent acquisition and development for their team as well as accountability more broadly for the planning function across the sites.
Duties & responsibilities
For the component strategic capacity planning and purchasing team, drive supply chain planning activities for the BWI business including supply planning and purchasing, new product launch planning, and inventory planning
Ensures the handshake / transition of new products into the base business (from the NPI Planning team)
For owned platform, responsible for resolution of tactical supply challenges including follow-up with suppliers and raising to leadership as needed to support resolution
For owned platforms, responsible for attaining and driving improvements to Key Performance Indicators, including plan attainment, inventory (gross/net dollars, DOS), and Slow Moving/Obsolete (SLOB)
Develop, deploy, and ensure adherence to Supplier IBP processes to ensure continuity of supply, communicate risks, opportunities, and scenarios while driving decisions to support business goals
Accountable for shaping and achieving Global inventory business plan ($ and DOS) for raw materials, setting safety stock levels, leading inventory tracking processes and reconciliation (i.e. actual vs. plan), and identifying/implementing inventory reduction opportunities
Own the component strategic capacity process for BWI, partnering with Procurement and Supplier to develop scenarios and strategies to support future business needs. Support investment trade-off decisions. Communicate and escalate concerns to management
Build strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including Suppliers, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, NPI, R&D, and Quality leading cross functional/ virtual teams where required to troubleshoot and resolve challenges
Responsible for identifying areas to improve supply chain effectiveness and performance
Conduct scenario plans to identify and / or close gaps (financials, capacities, inventory etc.)
Responsible for identifying and driving improvements to planning processes (IBP, net requirements, inventory and supply planning) as well as optimization of key planning parameters
Provide thought leadership and direction to peers through training and coaching
Provide leadership to a team of supply chain planning managers and analysts by recruiting, training, developing mentoring, and rewarding for high levels of company contribution
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Government and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications
Responsabilities:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in Supply Chain / Logistics, Operations, or Engineering). A Masters degree or MBA is preferred
A minimum of 10 years in supply chain or operations is required
A minimum of 6 years of experience in two or more of the following areas: demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, network planning, IBP, business system implementation, and/or new product introductions is required
A minimum of 5 years of direct people management experience required
Proven track record of challenging the “status-quo”, visualizing potential opportunities and implementing actions to build value is required
Project management skills, with the ability to motivate change and influence decision-making through multiple levels (Analyst, Manager, Director, Vice President) of the organization is required
The ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral form is required
Experience in scenario planning is required
Proven analytical/quantitative skills are required
High sense of urgency, adaptable to meet rapidly changing priorities is required
Understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies is required
Ability to develop, mentor and lead a team of planners and managers in the execution, strategies and realization of departmental and company goals is required
MRP, APS, and/or ERP systems experience and understanding is required
High proficiency and advanced understanding in Microsoft Excel is required
Manugistics / Blue Yonder, JDE, SAP, Microsoft Access and/or SQL proficiency experience is strongly preferred
Six Sigma Certifications or Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ IBF) preferred
Location: Juarez, Mexico
Travel: May require up to 10% travel
