Thank you for your interest in Candelaria Medical Center. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a medical biller and coder in a high paced primary care clinic. Candidate should be a critical thinker with problem solving skills in the billing and coding profession. We are looking for a person with initiative and excellent communication skills that thrives in a team environment. Here are specific skills we look for when selecting a candidate:

2 years experience in medical coding and billing in primary carepreferred

Certified in billing and codingpreferred

Ability to submit billing data to insurance provider

Work claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided

Knowledge in the various types of insurance payors

Versed in EMR

Knowledge in CPT and ICD codes

Responsible for entering and coding patient services into a computer system

Sorts and files paperwork, handles insurance claims, and performs collections duties

Submits claims to insurance

Review delinquent accounts

Call for collection purposes

Ensure healthcare facilities are reimbursed for all procedures

Overall knowledge of a medical billing department and its functions

Job Type: Part-time

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week

• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• ICD-10: 2 years (Preferred)

Language:

• Spanish and English (Required)

License/Certification:

• Billing and Coding Certification (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
