Major/Essential Functions:
Provides comprehensive care and diagnosis in Pediatric Rheumatology to newborns, children and adolescents
Supervises medical students, residents and advanced practice professional in the clinical setting
Participates in the education of medical students and residents
Conducts research and scholarly activities within the Department of Pediatrics
Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
Demonstrate Professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications:
Board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics
Board Certified in pediatric rheumatology by the American Board of Pediatrics
Bilingual (English and Spanish Preferred)
Experience in teaching students and residents in Pediatric Rheumatology
Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

Required Qualifications:
M.D/D.O. degree or foreign medical equivalent degree
Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Pediatrics Residency Program
Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Program
Full, unrestricted Texas medical license or eligible to obtain a Texas State Medical License
