POSITION SUMMARY

Set up, operate or tend forming and/or fabricating machine that form, rolls and shapes metal tubes to precise tolerances. Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate fabricating machine that forms, rolls and shapes metal tubes to precise tolerances.
• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications.
• Align and fit parts according to specifications.
• Manually move parts into position.
• Push appropriate buttons to activate machine.
• Observe and monitor machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
• May measure work piece dimensions.
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
• Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
• Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• 1 year machine operation experience or equivalent of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to operate equipment and controlling operations and systems.
• Ability understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to handle, install and position material.
• Ability to use basic mathematical equations.
