Day in the Life of a Technical Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer specializing in Electrical and Network Testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital metering, power quality analysis, installation testing, earth ground assessment, and insulated tools, as well as expertise in network testing on copper and fiber. Familiarity with the solar industry, electric vehicle charging systems, thermal imaging, and acoustic measurement technologies is also desired. This role requires exceptional problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding technical support to our customers. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, regarding troubleshooting, setup and operation of digital meters, power quality analyzers, installation testers, earth ground testers, insulated tools, network testing equipment, and related devices.

  • Assist customers with the interpretation of measurement data and diagnostic results for both electrical and network testing.

  • Follows-up with customer to ensure satisfaction with proposed resolution.

  • Consults with experienced team members or engineering to resolve problems.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to electrical testing, network testing on copper and fiber, renewable energy systems, electric vehicle infrastructure, thermal imaging, and acoustic measurement technologies.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our technical support processes and tools, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing solutions.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical inquiries, and resolutions using our CRM system.

    Your Team

  • Technical support team count 12 members, from across Europe to support our customer.

  • Part of the team is based in Eindhoven BIC office, and part of the team members are working remotely abroad.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, power distribution, grounding principles, and safety standards.

  • Familiarity with renewable energy systems, solar PV installations, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and related technologies is desirable.

    Personal Skills

  • Required language skills: English and one native language Dutch or French or German (English is the business language)

  • Positive attitude, highly self-motivated, and technically savvy

  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and support.

  • Effectively communicate with different departments and job functions within the organization.

  • Be comfortable with consistent change – agility/adaptability is key!
