Summary This job opportunity is for a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT), position description D2504000, within the 177th MXO FT of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. Its purpose is to supervise and manage logistics functions consisting of the Maintenance Operations Center; Plans, Scheduling and Documentation, Engine Management, Training, Programs and Mobility; and Production Analysis/Data Base Management. Responsibilities As a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT), GS-1152-11 you may be expected to accomplish the following: Plan and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution. Represent the Maintenance Operations branch, participating in discussions, meetings, and/or serving on panels or committees concerning maintenance policies and procedures. Direct aircraft maintenance analysis activities for the Maintenance Group. Evaluate leads and controls the Group and subordinate unit training program to ensure combat readiness for unit members and tracks progress via automated training records system and other tools. Lead aircraft maintenance support for operational, exercise, or contingency operations. Provide oversight to the budget process, including planning, programming, budgeting, allocation, and funds execution. Develop, interpret, and provide program guidance to the Wing regarding maintenance policies, procedures, budget, training criteria, and manpower/personnel. Interprets command aircraft assignment configuration and reporting policy and informs appropriate Wing personnel of requirements and provides sufficient follow-up to ensure compliance. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1) Area of consideration: CAT 2: All permanent, indefinite on-board, Title 32 within the Air National Guard (Nation-wide, Palace Chase Active Duty will also be considered). Must have 2RX7X AFSC or be eligible to obtain within 1 year of start date. Qualifications General Experience: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. Specialized Experience: Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training in the following: Computations of cost data on labor and materials, buying materials or reviewing data with respect to man-hours, machine time, materials consumed, etc. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. Experience in supervising subordinate personnel, establishing work priorities, overseeing work in progress. Education There are no education requirements for this vacancy announcement.
