Integrits Corporation Systems Administrator IV (Network Administrator) in Edwards AFB, California

Summary Individual supports the U.S Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract at Edwards Air Force Base, better known as J-Tech II. Integrits Corporation develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation’s war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today’s missions and tomorrow’s global challenges. A Systems Administrator IV evaluates system specifications, installs enterprise computer systems, configures systems, establishes standards, insures hardware/software compatibility and maintains workstations and server systems focusing on the Operating system and the network. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs the daily operational support on Computer Operating Systems to include system security, access, configuration, backups and restores. Specifies network requirements, monitors LAN performance, troubleshoots networking hardware and insures system is working properly according to specifications and parameters. Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, routers, switches, servers, and other physical hardware Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues Implement and maintain secure network access protocols Maintain Firewall ports, logs, rules, software, and configuration Serves as POC for problem reporting and provide operational status as required. Makes recommendations for future hardware/software implementations and related process improvements, schedules, plans and performs system upgrades including the transition from design, test, production and documentation environments. Uses established policies and procedures and subject matter knowledge to complete complex assignments requiring originality and ingenuity performed under minimum supervision with considerable latitude for independent contribution. Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems. Manage and administer storage solutions including NAS and SAN systems. Exercises discretion and independent judgement in representing and/or resolving matters of significance on behalf of the customer. Individual reports to an exempt onsite manager responsible for the IT Support Team operations. There is occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal as well constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. Other duties as required Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in associated discipline from an accredited academic institution or equivalent experience through technical training, completion of a recognized certification program, or experience Possess at least 9 years of experience in computer system related areas of expertise CompTIA Security + Certification SECRET Security Clearance (required) Must possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems. Must have specific experience in the maintenance of Operating Systems and support applications, in a centralized and distributed server environment Employee is expected to routinely cross fields in the completion of somewhat difficult and varied assignments. Candidate must possess good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within structured guidelines. Must possess verbal and written communication skills sufficient to permit interaction with other employees as well as taking work direction from Section Supervisors. Requires limited to no supervision. Individual must have a sound working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications, e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Must be able to successfully pass the required drug test.
