We are looking for a strong Roadway Design Engineer, to join our team and deliver leading edge road and highway projects as we expand our Western Canada team. In this role, you will play a key design role for the roadway works for supporting Edmonton area of Canada.
Our Road and Highway design engineers are expected to be responsible for the design of alignment plans, profiles, cross-sections, horizontal and vertical geometrics, and the creation of 3D models for both roadway and highway projects.
Our engineers prepare standard engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates and collaborate with other engineers to ensure quality of design. We expect you to develop difficult and complex working drawings for project design and support client, suppliers, and contractors regarding design issues or design challenges. Projects may include interstate HOV lanes, ramps, auxiliary lanes, and continuous flow intersections, as well as rail/track alignment.
BS degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline
8+ years Road/highway design experience with 3D Modeling experience.
Must have experience with Inroads/MicroStation, Civil3D or Geopak
Experience working with Ministry of Transportation requirements for Alberta Province is required
Design/Build experience preferred
P.Eng is required
Experience with Revit or other BIM software is preferred.
