Here’s the scoop - Summary

The IT Business Reporting Analyst’s primary responsibility is the ongoing, efficient, and reliable operation of Champion’s reporting applications. This role will also develop new reporting solutions in response to new business problems using a variety of cutting-edge technologies – more on our tech stack below.

Working across a community of disciplines (e.g. IT Operations, IT Enterprise Applications, the Project Management Office, various Champion business units, and diverse consultants), the IT Business Reporting Analyst must be an excellent communicator, able to synthesize diverse requirements into a comprehensive solution.

This position is located in the Champion corporate office and requires some travel to other Champion locations.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements defining reporting solutions

  • Safeguard the data integrity of Champion’s data lake by managing the development, testing, and implementation of critical data pipelines

  • Develop excellent working relationships within IT, within outside Champion business units and with a variety of consultants

  • Write SQL queries, stored procedures, views etc. to support ad-hoc reporting from our on-prem database

  • Manage incoming tickets pertaining to legacy and current reporting systems used across the business

  • Provide guidance to management on the strategic and tactical use of applications for today and the future

  • Write and maintain SOP documents related to design, implementation, and operating practices for Champion’s data technology stack

  • Perform other duties as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a data analytics reporting role

  • Strong interpersonal and time management abilities – this role will interact directly with company leaders in finance and operations to determine scope and implement solutions, often within a time sensitive framework

  • Experience working with our current reporting technologies, which includes Data Factory, AzureSQL, Databricks and Power BI

  • Experience working with our legacy reporting technologies, including T-SQL, SSRS and Excel considered an asset

  • Experience with the Infor suite of products (M3 on-prem, MEC (M3-E-collaborator) XM, d/EPM, Birst, Stream Serve, Infor OS) considered an asset

  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Marketing Cloud considered an asset

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus and integration methodologies supporting an assortment of enterprise on-premise and cloud-based platforms considered an asset

  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License (other than motorcycle), with ability to travel between the Company’s locations and willingness to accept temporary assignment(s) to additional Company locations.

  • Ability to work extended business hours and days and to be accessible (via company cell phone) to corporate employee end-users needing after-hours IT support.
