Position Summary Children's Simulation Operations Specialist supports simulation services targeted at meeting the strategic goals of the Simulation Program. The Simulation Operations Specialist will report directly to the Simulation Operations Manager and work in collaboration with the Program Director and Program Medical Director. This position will work at the following locations depending on assignment: Children's Business Campus (Edina, MN), Children's Minnesota-Minneapolis Campus, and Children's Minnesota-St. Paul Campus. Primary responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: *Plans, implements and coordinates simulation-based programs in conjunction with simulation education specialists and other educators. *Responsible for the simulation technologies, which include manikin and AV operation, and maintains knowledge, skill and proficiency in all aspects of technology. *Maintains the equipment and supply inventory of a multi-site simulation program. *Ensures established standards of quality and performance are upheld within the overall goals and activities of Children's Simulation program. Demonstrates a high level of independent action and initiative, as well as creative thinking to design and carry out these activities. *Works as a team with other simulation operations specialists and simulation specialists in the orchestration of simulations within a busy multi-site simulation program. Occasional evening, night and weekend hours required. Occasional overnight travel required. Driving the mobile simulation RV will be required. License/Certification/Registration: *Valid Class B license required within one year of start date in role. *Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) a plus. *Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Education: *Associates degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: *Current clinical experience (ie. licensed EMT, RT or commensurate license, or training in bachelors in medicine and surgery [MBBS] or commensurate training). *Experience with Simulation based education (not just computer software and technology). *Experience working with and maintaining an inventory system. *Experience with hazardous materials compliance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: *Basic knowledge of medical terminology, equipment and supplies, willingness to learn more complex medical terminology, equipment and supplies. *Creative problem solver. *Highly organized, detail oriented, efficient, and multifunctional. *Working knowledge of Windows based computer and hardware and software based AV systems. *Working knowledge of standard Windows based PC applications required. *Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills. *Excellent verbal and written communication skills. *Strong problem-solving skills in working with various professionals from varied backgrounds. *Able to maintain confidentiality, d splay diplomacy, be self-directed, and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently with potential for frequent interruptions. *Strong customer service skills are essential; enjoy working with people. *Ability to contribute to a positive work environment. *Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to adapt to change. *Ability to maintain data confidentiality and security. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs.
