Broadridge Financial Solutions UX Designer (Contractor) Remote in Edgewood, New York

Broadridge is Growing! We are seeking a passionate UX Designer to assist in the creation and execution of user-centered experiences across various digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of UX design principles, user research, and communication design skills. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the UX Designer will contribute to developing innovative solutions that align with business objectives and enhance user satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow while ensuring seamless, engaging, and accessible interactions for our users.

Work-Mode: This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in developing intuitive and engaging user interfaces using basic interaction design techniques.

Support heuristic evaluations and usability tests to help identify and address usability issues.

Work with team members to integrate accessibility best practices into all aspects of design.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure the implementation of design specifications.

Contribute to creating high-fidelity prototypes and use advanced prototyping tools like Figma.

Participate in usability tests with diverse user groups to gather feedback.

Help gather and prioritize feedback for iterative improvements.

Assist in aligning design decisions with broader business objectives and sales strategies.

Support the measurement of design solution effectiveness using data and analytics.

Assist in developing user personas and journey maps based on research findings.

Contribute to user requirements analysis, information architecture design, and user testing.

Help produce user requirement specifications, prototypes, and design specifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Design, HCI, Communication Design, or a related field, or relevant coursework or internship experience.

Basic understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.

Familiarity with user research methodologies.

Some experience in building basic prototypes and design specifications through coursework or internships.

Skills:

Basic understanding and application of UX design principles and interaction design techniques.

Proficiency with prototyping tools like Figma.

Basic communication design skills with an ability to contribute to the visual aspects of design solutions.

Problem-solving skills with the ability to learn from straightforward situations and apply new insights.

Strong willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment and seek guidance from senior team members.

Ability to explain concepts and instructions clearly and effectively.

An eagerness to learn about how design impacts key performance indicators and business goals.
