We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Porters to join our team in our convenience stores. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, floor care, and general maintenance tasks.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Assist with custodial tasks including trash removal, recycling, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or necessary repairs to management.
• Engage in commercial cleaning projects as needed to ensure all spaces are presentable and functional.
• Participate in residential painting tasks when required to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the facility.
• Maintain an organized supply area and ensure all cleaning equipment is properly stored after use.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold safety standards and promote a clean working environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custodial or porter roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and industrial cleaning practices is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent time management skills with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A proactive attitude towards maintaining facilities and ensuring a safe environment for all users.
