Miller Milling Senior Financial Analyst Supply Chain in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing planning, analytical and decision support for the supply chain organization. As the key business partner to the supply chain team, this role will be focused on partnering with the business and providing insights using data and analytics to drive sound business decisions. In order to be successful, the individual must have a continuous improvement mindset and proactively seek out opportunities to improve processes and systems.

Salary Range $ 105,000 - $ 120,000 / annually

Primary Duties:

  • Lead the mark to market process for trading and contract activity. Develop an understanding of market and industry dynamics to provide insights and analysis on supply chain, trading and transportation performance.

  • Cultivate finance/business relationships, which include learning the business, responding to evolving priorities and understanding the impacts of decisions on key stakeholders.

  • Drive processes within the organization, such as annual plan, ongoing forecasts, long-range plan, etc. through strong working relationships with key business partners.

  • Partner with our Business Intelligence (PowerBI) developers to create and improve procurement, transportation and finance dashboards.

  • Develop detailed financial models and associated financial analysis to support decision-making.

  • Prepare financial data for Board materials; consolidate and produce executive level materials.

  • Develop automation within the mark to market and trading processes.

  • Drive quality and continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility & assist with process improvement initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned and assist with other organizational projects.

    Qualifications/Experience:

  • B.A./B.S. Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • 4+ years of finance/accounting with experience in manufacturing or financial services preferred.

  • Trading, mark to market or commodity experience preferred

  • CMA and/or CPA preferred

  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic organization with changing needs

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications

  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau preferred
