The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is actively seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Ebensburg Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will deliver occupational therapy services to assigned individuals by selecting targeted remedial tasks and activities and utilizing specific treatment techniques to address their medical, developmental, or functional needs. You will develop objectives and treatment strategies based on evaluations, contribute to annual and interim interdisciplinary reviews, and assess daily program data to track progress toward desired outcomes, helping individuals reach their full potential. You will implement individualized program plans by engaging with individuals both one-on-one and in group settings, promoting active participation, and training staff on proper methods and living area carryover programs to ensure individuals make progress and gain maximum benefit from the program. This position requires initiative and independent judgment, all while adhering to the guidelines set by the Pennsylvania occupational therapy licensure law and departmental policies and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs. Travel: Occasional, if necessary. Travel is rarely required, but it may occur. Overtime: As needed Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirement: You must be in possession of a license to assist in the practice of occupational therapy, under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Occupational Therapy Education and Licensure, or possession of a temporary license.

Condition of Employment: Persons possessing a temporary license will be accepted pending full licensure which must occur within one year after employment.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
