Nestle Quality Technician (3rd shift 11pm -7:30am) in Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Position Summary:

Provide professional support by performing and timely communicating the necessary quality tests and analyses required for product safety and quality. Conduct analyses of incoming materials, in-line samples, semi-finished product, and finished product to assess their conformance to established quality standards.

SHIFT: 3rd shift 11pm -7:30am, Sun – Thurs

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Operations

• Performs Microbiological, Chemical, and/or Physical testing of: Incoming Materials, In-Line samples, Semi-finished and Finished products

Environmental Monitoring

• Investigational samples: Completes cleaning and general maintenance of laboratory and work area, Performs periodic maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and equipment, Conducts internal and external analytical reporting and Monitors material and reagent inventory, orders and stocks laboratory supplies

Laboratory Quality Ambassador

• Comprehends and follows Nestle Good Laboratory Practices (NGLPs), Laboratory Safety Standards, and Biosafety/Biosecurity Protocols

• Completes review of laboratory data to ensure accuracy

• Performs method monitoring through control charting and investigates trends

• Performs analyses to support qualification / validation / verification protocols

Training / Communication

• Provides routine communication with Factory Operations and Internal support functions to report testing status and results

• Trains new and existing lab personnel on methods and procedures

Performs other duties as assigned:

• Chemistry Area Responsibilities: Incoming Materials, In-Line Samples, Semi-Finished & Finished Products and Investigational Samples

Qualitative & quantitative Chemical and Nutritional examinations including, but not limited to:

• Fat by Mojonnier, Protein by Combustion & Distillation, Ash, Oven Moisture, Oven Solids, Minerals by ICP-OES, Vitamins by HPLC, Enzymatic Activity by Spectrophotometer, LDS-PAGE Profiles, Fatty Acid by GC, Raw Material Identity Analysis, Chloride by Titration and FTNIR Fat, Protein, Solids

Experience and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

• Previous experience in another laboratory or analytical experience is an asset

• Expertise in relevant laboratory analyses

• Ability to work flexible hours

• Problem-solving skills

• Ability to prioritize

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required; SAP experience is preferred
