GENERAL DUTIES: 1. Be responsible for the spiritual welfare of Timberlake staff and campers.2. Attend and participate in all camp programs and spiritual activities.3. Maintain standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living quarters.4. Assist with the clean-up of the total camp at the end of each session and at the conclusion of the summer.5. Complete and submit to the Timberlake Program Director and “End of Summer Brief” with recommendations forthe future.6. Assist with other duties as needed.
SPECIFIC DUTIES: Safety and Supervision1. Assume responsibility for the supervision and directon of Timberlake staff.2. Enforce camp policies and procedures3. Maintain the utmost level of safety for staff and campers at all times.4. Ensure compliance with American Camping Association standards of safety and programmatic conduct at all times.5. Coordinate and implement all program components relative to the daily schedule in a timely fashion.
Weekly Responsibilities1. Encourage and support the Timberlake staff through prayer and one-on-one meetings.2. Assume indirect responsibility of all Timberlake counseling staff.3. Provide counselors with resources, strategies, & intervention when needed to resolve camper management issues.4. Collaborate with Timberlake Program Director to plan specific weekly duties and schedule.5. Collaborate with Timberlake Program Director to plan Elective Classes Schedule.6. Collaborate with Timberlake Program Director to plan Free Time options and staff assignments.7. Collaborate with Timberlake Program Director and Recreation Director to plan the Cabin Acitivity Schedule.8. Assist with the coordination of all other program components relative to the daily schedule.9. Work with Timberlake Program Director to make sure recreation staff have specific Timberlake assignments well in advance.10. Assist in coordination of Night Watch duties as they relate to the Timberlake Program.11. Collaborate with Timberlake Program Director and Timberlake Units Leaders in assignment of camper groups.12. Provide Logistic support for Unit Games and Pool Parties for Unit Leaders & Waterfront Director.13. Lead table grace and give announcements in dining hall when necessary.14. Plan all Timberlake campfire programs including preparing, and/or delegating the preparation of, campfiredevotionals. Pre-screen skits and songs, inventory and maintain props, and secure needed supplies15. Plan and implement the weekly Camp Wide Games, its set-up, clean up, & supplies.16. Coordination for Staff Banquet: Theme, Menu, Venue, and Committee selection.17. Laundry schedule: develop & post.18. Maintain American Camping Association standards for the camp site and program.19. Be responsible for the spiritual welfare of Timberlake camp staff and campers.20. Assist with check out of staff at the end of each camp session.21. Prepare the Assistant Timberlake Program Brief brief at the end of the summer.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.2. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects and reach overhead.3. Ability to operate telephone.4. Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer.5. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.6. Ability to access and produce information from a computer.7.
