Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in rural housing and/or project-based Section 8 housing. As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our housing community and ensuring that our residents have a safe and comfortable living environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage the leasing process, including marketing, screening, and leasing of units
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to affordable housing
Maintain accurate resident records and ensure timely submission of required reports
Respond to resident inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure that all work orders are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner
Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, community organizations, and local government agencies
Prepare and manage the community budget, including rent collection and expense management
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure that the community is well-maintained and in compliance with all regulations
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in rural housing and/or project-based Section 8 housing
Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to affordable housing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software
