Job Summary This role is responsible for providing the consumer voice for the Food Ingredients business by managing, assessing, designing, executing, analyzing and reporting on the curation and/or discovery of the consumer voice through primary/secondary consumer research, uncovering actionable insights, identifying new opportunities, unlocking growth and driving strategic direction/innovation. The role is responsible for championing an insight-led culture, consumer-centric and data-driven mindset throughout Food Ingredients business and activating the consumer-centric insight and foresight required for IFF to get and stay ahead and maintain relevance in an ever-changing environment. The scope expands across all regions, supporting both internal stakeholders and being customer facing. Insight Crafting & Activation: Maintain familiarization with business priorities, innovation programs, and our portfolio to identify actionable insights. Identify significant themes in data analysis, crafting evidence-based actionable and compelling insights. Keep abreast of the latest developments related to evolving consumers' knowledge in specific markets by sharing relevant expertise. Serve as facilitator for cross-functional brainstorming meetings on project content. Prepare and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and external customers. Provide curated insight reports to identify new commercial opportunities with customers. Design and execute insight activation workshops to leverage consumer understanding across internal marketing team members and at customers. Internal and External Customers: Build meaningful relationships and share CI strategy with Regional Marketing teams and cross functional business partners (Regional Presidents, Sales Leaders, BU Leaders, IC&D Leaders), contributing on strategic plans and address business-related critical topics. Represent and promote IFF consumer-driven capabilities, know-how and solutions, in strategic meetings with key customers and IFF leaders. Form synergistic alliances with key partners (within and/or outside IFF) to facilitate the achievement of strategic goals. Strengthen and leverage partnerships/networks within IFF to favor win-win alignments on impactful topics. Build external customer relationships through T2T engagement and various innovation events/discovery summits, and key projects. Project and Data Management: Primary consumer research to unlock opportunities in support of regional growth strategies. Recommend appropriate research designs by ensuring the learning needs/intelligence gaps are met. Explore innovative /new methodologies for front end consumer research. Allocate sufficient resources within budget to ensure proper project execution. Review content and consistency of Consumer Research Proposals (CRP) Contribute to the preparation of a full range of briefings, reports Report findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders. Fully document project work in an IFF branded deck. Upload decks/materials as appropriate to Showpad CI Hub so the work can be leveraged across IFF. Leadership and Talent Management Demonstrate initiative and be the consumer expert globally for Food Ingredients Demonstrate a self-driven approach in professional self-development (proactive use of internal training tool to enhance hard and/or soft skills) Academic Qualification: BA Degree in Sensory/Consumer Insight, Marketing, Market Research, Human Sciences, Beh Economics/ and/or Psychology. Master's preferred. Experience: Preferably 10+ years of industry experience in consumer science, consumer insight, or sensory & consumer insight.
