Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in conveyor systems and industrial controls. The ideal candidate will be proficient in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, with a strong background in industrial electrical systems (480V). This role primarily involves working at Manufacturing facilities, performing maintenance on material handling equipment, conveyors, and motor controls. The candidate must be open to traveling within a two-hour radius.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance for manufacturing facilities, including material handling equipment, conveyors, electrical and mechanical equipment, motor controls, and PLCs.
Serve as the primary maintenance support for warehouse handling all breakdowns and preventative maintenance tasks.
Undertake general handyman work as needed, such as changing lights.
Travel between Syracuse and Binghamton, with a requirement to travel within a two-hour radius.
Essential Skills
Experience with conveyor systems.
Knowledge and experience with industrial controls and electrical systems (480V).
Ability to read and troubleshoot blueprints and schematics.
Strong understanding of preventative maintenance procedures.
Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Experience with motor controls and industrial three-phase wiring.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Fabrication and welding experience is a plus.
Ability to assess and replace bearings as needed.
Experience with PLCs and variable frequency drives (VFDs).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of EAST SYRACUSE, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
