Primary Role
Performs duties necessary to maintain and ensure the reliable operation of the Interurban Production facilities.
This position works a rotating shift.
This position is a union position with Illinois American Water and the starting pay rate is \$37.05 per hour
This position may be eligible for annual incentive pay and contracted increases as determined by the collective bargaining agreement, and you will have the opportunity for continued salary growth. Key Accountabilities
- Performs duties necessary to maintain and ensure the reliable operation of the Interurban Production facilities including, but not limited to, chemical feed systems, required process control testing and analysis, filling of day tanks, management of pumping and filter operations including filter washing and any additional filter treatment that may be required.
- Manages outlying stations in r gard to pumpage, tank levels, and pressure requirements.
- May also perform light or routine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by management
Experience/Education
- 0-2 years of experience in the water industry.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Valid drivers license with the ability to pass a motor vehicle check
Certifications/Licenses
- Illinois Class C Water license required after 2 years in position
- Illinois Class A Water license required after 4 years in position.
