KEY OBJECTIVES:The main purpose of this role is:Control, direct, and organize the strategy, administration and utilization of personnel and resources as assigned within the Attractions Technical Services department (Theme Park and Water Park). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assess the current state of Parks and the Attractions Technical Services department to identify efficiencies and areas of opportunity.Implement short-, mid- and long-term strategies to address unforeseen closure of rides and improve efficiencies and overall turnaround time.Develop, maintain, implement, and monitor the operating attractions capital and annual budgets.Successfully, efficiently, and professionally create and maintain working relationships with contractors and vendors.Ensure that all attractions, facilities, and work environments are safe for our guest and employee use.Develop, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance programs.Address employee concerns. Motivate, discipline and reward employeesManage related capital projects to maintain budget and completion deadlines.Utilize company CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to maximize efficiency, maintain appropriate maintenance documentationEnsure overall safety of staff, Guests, and attractions.Reduce overall downtime of rides and equipment. Implement KPIs for improved efficiency and uptime.Provide positive and effective leadership through communication, motivation, and evaluation.Effective use of company resources to achieve organizational objectives (safety, revenue, cost management, efficiency, etc.)Provide outstanding internal and external service (Guest, inter-departmental, vendors/contractors, etc.)Oversee and partake as required inspection of rides, attractions and water systems located within Nickelodeon Universe and DreamWorks Water Park.Accurately complete and update documents and company records.Assist the purchasing function as neededEnsure employees are properly scheduled, trained, and assigned to achieve quality resultsDevelop and implement onboarding and ongoing training programs for techniciansMaintain and foster positive relations with governing bodies (DCA, Bergen Health, NJSEA, etc.)Develop and track annual rebuild schedules, ensuring all manufacturer and state requirements are metMaintain Safety certifications through ASTM recognized national organizations (NAARSO, AIMS, etc.).Regular, reliable, and consistent attendanceAdditional duties as assigned. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent field. Master's degree preferred.10+ years of experience in a technical field.Extensive experience in interviewing, training, scheduling, discipline, and performance management for a staff of at least four subordinates.5+ years of Amusement Rides and/or Water Park experience.Effective reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills.Proficient use of computer programs and CMMS utilizing work processing and database software.Specific knowledge of principles and practices of rides, facility, and equipment maintenance.General knowledge in the following disciplines: hydraulics, welding, machining, plumbing, carpentry, electronics, and PLCs.Excellent skills in both verbal and written communications.Proficiency in organizational, interpersonal, project management, computer and training skills required.
