Adecco US, Inc. Tool Setter in East Providence, Rhode Island

The Tool Setter will be responsible for setting up and maintaining tooling for various machines to ensure efficient and accurate production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with machine tools and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool Setup: Install, adjust, and align tools and fixtures on machinery according to job specifications and production requirements. Ensure proper setup to achieve desired part dimensions and quality.

  • Regularly inspect and maintain tooling and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Replace or repair tools as needed to prevent production delays.

  • Calibrate machines and tooling to ensure accuracy and consistency in production. Perform test runs to verify correct setup and make necessary adjustments.

  • Maintain accurate records of tool settings, adjustments, and maintenance activities. Document any issues encountered and report them to the supervisor or maintenance team.

  • Work closely with machinists, production managers, and engineers to understand tooling requirements and troubleshoot any problems that arise during production.

  • Monitor production processes to ensure that tools and machinery are producing parts that meet quality standards. Conduct inspections and measurements using precision instruments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool Setter or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in setting up and maintaining tooling for various machines, including CNC machines and manual equipment. Familiarity with different types of tools and fixtures.

  • Understanding of machining processes, blueprints, and technical drawings. Ability to read and interpret specifications and adjust tools accordingly.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
