The Caterpillar IT Business Resources team has an open Accounting Associate role. This position is an entry-level staff accountant who will support various business processes. This role, along with the Caterpillar IT Business Resource team in whole, partners with the Caterpillar IT business unit to support the business operations of more than 500 facilities around the globe in more than 180 countries. Caterpillar IT keeps Caterpillar connected (every aspect of the business from order management systems to e-commerce solutions, collaboration tools and more) and secure across the world. Caterpillar IT plays a critical role in Caterpillar’s Strategic Priorities and through their technology solutions serve as a catalyst for Caterpillar and Customers to build a better world.

What You Will Do:

  • Business Management System (BMS) Coordinator for Global Information Services

  • Monthly analysis of intercompany service charges

  • Business Unit Pull (project) forecasting for Caterpillar IT

  • Processing invoices

  • Preparation of government reports

  • Monthly accountable closing processes

  • Monthly reconciliation of cloud reporting

  • Forecasting for annual business plans and quarterly updates

  • Creating innovation solutions to provide insights to management

What You Have:

  • Education/Experience: This position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business-related degree and 1-2 years of job-related experience.

  • Acc u r ac y a n d A t te n t i o n t o Det a il : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

  • An a ly t ic a l T h i n king: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Summary Pay Range:

$79,800.00 - $119,760.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
