Adecco US, Inc. Receiver in East Hartford, Connecticut
Adecco is assisting a local customer in East Hartford, CT in hiring a Shipping and Receiving Associate to work Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with a pay $18.25 per hour.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the receiving processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving:
Unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
Verify received goods against purchase orders or invoices using SAP systems.
Ensure proper storage of received items according to company standards.
Utilize UPS and FedEx systems for shipping tasks, including scheduling pickups and coordinating logistics.
- Handling Equipment:
Use manual pallet jacks for moving materials within the facility. - Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols to prevent injury and damage to goods.
Keep the receiving area clean organized.
- Technology Proficiency:
- Proficient use of SAP for inventory management.
- Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Stand for long periods and perform repetitive movements.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in receiving, preferably with exposure to SAP.
Familiarity with shipping and logistics preferred.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory tracking and shipping.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Basic computer skills with a willingness to learn new systems quickly.
Must be a US citizen and able to pass a background.
Pay Details: $18.25 per hour
