What You Will Do
Hot Section Module Center is looking to hire a New Product Introduction (NPI) Coatings Manufacturing Engineer to support the coating process for our Turbine Blade part family. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a high technology, advanced program environment incorporating the latest manufacturing readiness assessment tools. They will partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to evaluate the most efficient and cost-effective process design. The ideal candidate will develop manufacturing process alternatives based on improved manufacturability and producibility. Primary location in East Hartford CT and up to 20% travel may be required.
Develop tooling, process parameters, and controls to create a capable and stable process
Create work instructions for development hardware
Perform technology and process development tasks; including, first piece runs, measurement system analysis and capability assessments
Implementation of lean process improvements activities to meet schedule and cost targets
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or other related Bachelors’ degree
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in CNC machine programming
Proficiency in the application of continuous improvement tools: Process Certification, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, PFMEA, Six Sigma and/or Red-X
CAD experience is preferred

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
