Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Pipette Specialist in East Greenbush, New York

We are currently looking for a Pipette Specialist to join our Calibration team within the Process Maintenance group. In this business-critical role you will lead our pipette program, working closely with end users. You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of pipette calibration, repair, and scheduled maintenance. In this new role, ensuring compliance to all regulatory requirements for calibration, documentation and validation of pipettes will be key.

As a Pipette Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

  • Coordinating and scheduling pipette calibrations and verifications with vendor.

  • Being responsible for and communicating the calibration and verification pipette schedules with pipette end user and owners as well as Facilities Management.

  • Partnering with onsite and external pipette vendors to ensure they are in full compliance with Regeneron’s policies and procedures.

  • Completing assigned pipette calibrations in our computerized maintenance system (BMRAM) and reviewing the vendor calibration certificates to ensure that they meet the Regeneron user tolerances.

  • Participating as subject matter expert in study teams and submitting Notice of Event (NOE) information for any pipette calibration that are found to be Out of Tolerance (OOT) or other pipette related events.

  • Ensuring all pipettes can be located when calibration is due.

  • Managing the pipettes that need to be shipped off-site for on-demand repair, calibration and verification.

  • Ensuring that there is an adequate supply of pipette tips for pipette calibrations and verifications.

  • Proactively working to identify equipment and pipette replacement needs.

Applicants should ideally have a BS in Engineering, Science, or a related field and the below minimum amounts of experience for each level. We may substitute additional relevant pipette experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Associate Specialist: 0-2 years overall experience in calibrations or maintenance operations with a computerized maintenance system or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Specialist: 2+ years overall experience in calibrations or maintenance operations with a computerized maintenance system or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Senior Specialist: 5+ years overall experience in calibrations or maintenance operations with a computerized maintenance system or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.

Experience with Pipette Repair and Calibration is preferred. Knowledge of ISO 17025-2017: General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories is helpful. Experience in ISO 8650: Procedure for gravimetric Calibration of piston operated Volumetric apparatus is strongly preferred.

Salary Range (annually)

$58,480.40 - $124,300.00
