MGI Grain Mill Operator in EAST GRAND FORKS, Minnesota
**Size and Scope: Lead the milling operation at MGI Grain Processing, Inc. The mill operation includes the cleaning and processing of grains into different fractions as well as packaging and bulk loading. All products will be properly labeled and staged for shipment.
MGI Grain Inc. is a grain processing business in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. This position leads the grain receiving and cleaning process at MGI Grain Inc. Elevator. This position leads the milling activity from raw grain to shipment of finished product.
**Education and Experience: High school degree preferred. Mechanical skills and a successful work experience required. Five years of experience in grain processing. Previous supervision of people would be a plus.
Job Responsibilities - Mill/Maintenance:**
- Provide effective operations and documentation related to production and maintenance of the mill and warehouse equipment
- Monitor and adjust milling machinery to control process to specification.
- Perform all required quality testing per customer or MGI Grain Inc. specifications.
- Perform cleaning of mill, flaker room and facilities to meet food safety requirements.
- Execute mill changeovers to meet production schedule.
- Lead mill maintenance and cleaning schedule and document these activities.
- Communicate required/necessary information to appropriate departments.
- Train new team as necessary.
- Any other duties as assigned by plant management.
**Reporting Relationships: This position reports to the Mill Maintenance Manager.
**Work Area and Communication: The work area, although primarily in the mill, it will include the entire facility and grounds. Communication between all team members is the key to success of the operation.
