Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in East Grand Forks, MN. From: 11/01/2024 - 05/01/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day. 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. In MN, All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 01/31/2025 JOB DESCRIPTION: Operate potato storage equipment, including skid Loaders, forklifts, and bobcat, ext. Use equipment to load and unload potatoes from storage bins. Perform basic service/maintenance on farm facilities and equipment. Clean and repair potato storage facilities and assist with basic farm building/field maintenance and repairs. Notify Supervisors of any needed equipment repairs. All work-related tools, supplies and equipment will be provided at no cost. Participate in all required safety and orientation trainings. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Employees must comply with standards set forth through the Global Good Agriculture Practices and Fair Food Program. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months experience working with potatoes. Able to lift 50 lbs. Repetitive movements, extensive pushing, and pulling, extensive walking, standing, bending and stooping will be required. Exposure to extreme temperatures. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
