Operating from sites close to our key customers in North America, Asia, and Europe, our partners provides advanced technological solutions to the Aerospace and Defense industry, leveraging an in-depth knowledge of fabrications, machining, and the global supply chain to support complex aero-engine component manufacture and repair.

Position Overview: The CNC Programmer's (Programmer) main task is to develop, implement, and maintain processes and programming for NC/CNC machining operations for complex details and assembly configurations for gas turbine engine components. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to troubleshoot programs on the shop floor and be comfortable in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use CAD/CAM software systems such as NX (Unigraphics), Edgecam, and Vericut to create CNC programs for vertical and horizontal CNC lathes and multi-axis CNC milling machines.

  • Develop programs in a timely manner to support production, specify tooling, resolve shop machining issues, and monitor active jobs.

  • Select appropriate cutting tools and associated speeds and feeds to meet both quality and cycle time targets.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Machining G & M Code and GD&T.

  • Assist in compiling data to support quotations.

  • Work with high-technology aerospace materials including titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel.

  • Have a working knowledge of post-processor development.

  • Be familiar with on-machine probing and tool offset systems.

  • Be comfortable working with various types of machine controls.

  • Assist with root cause/corrective action activities.

  • Knowledge of macro programming is a plus.

  • Knowledge of robotic programming and automation is a plus.

  • Ensure adherence to applicable internal, federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in the aerospace industry or general manufacturing required.

  • CNC machining experience and good computer aptitude and skills are vital qualifications.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints or technical procedures.

  • A strong background in manufacturing, preferably aerospace, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and in the use of CAD/CAM solid modeling software.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
