Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in EAST CHICAGO, Indiana

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems of plant machinery. The ideal candidate will perform minor repairs of rotating and reciprocating equipment, including assembly, disassembly, removal, installation, cleaning, and lubrication of machine parts. Additionally, you will repair or replace gauges, valves, regulators, and other components of hydraulic, pneumatic, and other fluid-powered equipment or mechanical systems. This role requires recording work performed and materials used, and operating lift trucks and powered lifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems of plant machinery.

  • Perform minor repairs of rotating and reciprocating equipment; assemble, disassemble, remove, install, clean, and lubricate machine parts such as shafts, bearings, gears, and pulleys.

  • Repair or replace gauges, valves, regulators, and other components of hydraulic, pneumatic, and other fluid-powered equipment or mechanical systems.

  • Perform work through the work order system.

  • Record work performed and materials used.

  • Operate lift trucks and powered lifts as required.

Work Environment

Candidates must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a chemical/wastewater facility. Will not work outdoors in the rain or snow.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00
