Battery Service Technician (St. Louis, MO)

Position Summary:

Maintain, service and support specific batteries and equipment, at the customer location in a timely and cost-effective manner so that customer requirements are met.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pick-up and deliver batteries and chargers, install new batteries, chargers and related equipment.
  • Travel to customer site, diagnose, trouble-shoot and repair customer's battery equipment in accordance with established guidelines and procedures, maintaining positive customer relations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to schedule, established procedures and cost guidelines at customer's facility.
  • Complete all required paperwork and time records accurately and completely follow MobileTech Procedures as directed by management.
  • Account for all parts, materials, tools and consumables used as required.
  • Drive and work safely in accordance with company and/or customer safety policies procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationship with customers and co-workers.
  • Keep van clean, serviceable and in fully-stocked condition at all times.
  • Maintain the van's interior equipment, storage devices, service manuals and related documents.
  • Attend meeting, training classes and other company activities as required.
  • Maintain uniforms in order to look neat and professional at all times.
  • Report all accidents, injuries, safety violations and unsafe working conditions immediately.
  • Keep an adequate set of personal tools as required by supervisor at all times.
  • Various additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures; such as, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, warranty, safety, and environmental

Ideal candidate will possess:

-Strong mechanical aptitude & ability; basic knowledge of industrial electricity

-Ability to read schematics, diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer’s specifications

Minimum Qualifications:

-HS Diploma or GED

-At least one year of hands-on technical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components; experience with batteries is strongly preferred.

-Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs

-Must be able to climb ladders and/or work on elevated platforms that may be 15’ to 30’ in height
