Entry level position that provides opportunity for advancement based on success. Heavy focus on international airfreight and includes basic warehouse activities/inventory management. Strong training program available to develop skillset with leading global logistics provider.
*Position Hours are 11am-8pm Monday-Friday
Timely and professional communication with clients and offices through high volume of email, phone, instant message, and in person.
Tracking and tracing of freight
Preparation of quotes to clients
Client notification of shipment delays, missing cargo, damaged freight
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operations system
Ensure accurate and timely client billing
Ensure compliance at all times to regulations
Dispatch freight
Monitor reports
Contribute to maintaining strong vendor relationships - airlines, trucking companies, and others
Meet key performance indicators in support of department, branch, product, and company goals
Desire to understand overall department process flow and constantly seek opportunities for improved efficiency
Escalation of problems to Management when necessary
Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
Pro-active, strong organizational skills
Strong desire to learn
Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Basic US/Global Geography
Fluent in English
Expected base salary: $22/hr to $24/hr
May be eligible for bonus following first year of continuous employment in position.
