The Director of Sales focuses solely on driving Legal sales with our Corporate customers in the SMB market for both new acquisition and existing accounts. This is a 2nd line sales leadership role and you will be responsible for leading a team of 1st line sales managers. Location:This is a remote role, ideally located somewhere in the Central region of the United States. About the Role: In this opportunity as a Director of Sales, you will: Lead a team of 1st line managers and their respective teams comprised of sales executives who are accountable for growing Legal sales across the corporate legal market focusing on new acquisition sales and growing existingrelationships. Collaborates with the regional Sales teams, segment commercial owners and marketing to deliver and support these requirements. Build training and coaching program for sales executive and sales manager roles that focus on sales attainment, sales skill development, product development, etc. while leveraging KPIs to manage performance and growth. Owns & develops hiring and recruiting strategy to bring in top talent to offset turnover risk in the field roles. Pioneers, leads and project manages cross sell initiatives across the rest of SMB corporates with an outcome and metric driven focus Develop an effective and diverse network to achieve business goals. Adheres to a Servant Leadership approach - understanding and removing barriers to team members success while sharing best practices across team. Sets and communicates clear performance expectations for team members and holds team members accountable to those expectations. This includes but isn't limited to expectations around sales attainment, forecasting, SFDC compliance, reporting, partnering, learning agility, professionalism, cultures and values. Key Deliverables Delivery of target financial and strategy objectives for the team (e.g. gross sales, building incremental pipeline) growth through cross-sell/up-sell, net new customer acquisitions, and product innovation (e.g. E/R ratio, client acquisition) Accurate forecasting, customer evaluation and procurement reports; consistent achievement of sales quota, forecasted revenue, and unit targets; consistent update of all CRM systems / reporting on market and competitor activities Presentations across internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development About You: You're a fit for the SMB Director of Sales role if you have: Bachelors degree preferred; 10+ years of professional experience in sales 5+ years 1st line sales management (direct management of sales executives) 3+ years 2nd line sales management (direct manager of 1st line sales managers) Experience building a SMB GTM model in multi-product environment (e.g. quotas, territories, pipeline model) Strong coaching mindset and commitment to talent development; communicates with transparency and radical candor Skilled at conflict resolution and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes An outside-in focus: outstanding end-customer relationship skills Skilled in sales processes and methodology High learning agility and creative thinking Agile in changing environments with ability to effectively lead teams through change #LI-TK1 What's in it For You? Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $252,000 - $468,000. The target total cash compensation range in other locations may vary. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
