This position is the business owner for commercial client and account operations as it relates to client/account maintenance actions, client and account onboarding, benefit management and document generation. This position is responsible for providing leadership, planning, strategic direction, iteration and delivery for new enterprise initiatives, legislative requirements, and technical capability solutions, for commercial markets, government market solutions or affiliated companies and divisions. This role collaborates closely with other departments within Blue Cross to implement processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all clients set up and benefit maintenance activities. This will include, but not be limited to, client onboarding, annual client and account renewal and ongoing maintenance and document generation. The Manager is an internal and external subject matter expert as well as a coach, support and leader for associates within client and account operationsThis manager also provides resource assessment and workflow management for the team. A Day in the Life: Overall accountability for oversight and operational performance. Coordinates launch readiness with Operations and the implementation to develop detailed product implementation plans on new products. Champions critical business needs with the operating model teams to ensure new and existing processes meet system requirements with strong support from technical program managers. Aligns product life cycle with health plan product planning process and operations. Provides consultation as a subject matter expert as needed to all stakeholders, both internal and external. This includes, but not limited to, discussion with the Blue Cross Association, coordinating RFP responses, client's meetings and brokers, conferences, sales training, executive leadership and internal department requests. Manages the development of dashboard, reporting and a comprehensive measurement plan for operational oversight. Drive employee performance management objectives, providing feedback and development support to reporting staff. Interfaces with brokers, consultants and clients directly during prospecting and onboarding process and resolving client level issues or implementations. Nice to Have: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in healthcare related field, project management, product management, business administration or related field. Knowledge of the health care industry and/or insurance. Experience with workflow and resource management. Leadership roles in product management, health care delivery/operations. Required Skills and Experiences: 7+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered. 1+ years of management, team lead or project lead experience Ability to analyze data and feedback to transform information into program strategies. Exceptional and demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with vendor partners and internal and external business partners. Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle a variety of responsibilities. Exceptional and demonstrated organizational and time management skills with ability to shift priorities as business demands require. Critical thinking with creative solutioning approach to issue resolution and mitigation Excellent and demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills. Exceptional and demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills. Exceptional and demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically; strong attention to detail. Must be self-motivated with strong initiative to learn. Excep ional and demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated process and quality improvement experience.
