YOUR ROLE

  • As a data scientist in our R&D team in Duesseldorf, Germany, you will partner with product developers and application engineers during your rotation to understand different technologies, data collection processes, and challenges that drive digital transformation within R&D

  • Design and conduct data analysis projects to identify trends and patterns in formulation data sets, building and deploying machine learning models to predict formulation performance, stability, and quality

  • Collaborate closely with R&D colleagues to translate data insights into new formulations, product development decisions, and application processes, optimizing R&D procedures

  • Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards to communicate data insights to stakeholders

  • Leverage your digital skillset to enhance the understanding of digital tools and data-based decision-making within R&D

  • Support the digital transformation of R&D by implementing data-driven workflows for process development and knowledge management

YOUR SKILLS

  • You have completed or are about to complete a Master’s or Ph.D. in a data-science-related discipline, such as Data Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or any hybrid studies that excite you and make you passionate about innovating for a sustainable future

  • You are genuinely interested in R&D and different technologies and are eager to learn and understand various technologies and product development processes

  • You have experience in data analysis and modeling, preferably in a scientific or engineering environment, with a strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification)

  • You are proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R) and the design of experiment tools such as Minitab and JMP, and have experience with data visualization tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and, ideally, more advanced platforms

  • Ideally, you bring knowledge or experience in advanced technologies such as IoT, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)

  • Customer satisfaction is key to you; you understand the importance of building strong relationships with stakeholders and are ready to offer creative solutions

  • You are open to relocation and embracing new challenges, with a willingness to explore diverse post-program career opportunities across our global Innovation network

  • Proficiency in English is essential, as you will collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds

The program starts on November 1, 2024, at our Inspiration Center in Duesseldorf, Germany . We provide full relocation support to ensure a smooth transition.
