Job Overview
The quantitative research services team supports a broad range of studies aimed to better understand the patient’s experience related to conditions, their treatments, and the healthcare system. The person in this role is responsible for leading and executing the on-time completion of projects or components of large, complex projects for clients in the life sciences field. This includes study design, protocol development, overseeing data collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of findings. In particular, the QualityMetric group within IQVIA focuses on clinical outcome assessment (COA) including patient-reported outcome surveys and other measures, and patient experience studies. The person in this role should be a scientist first, who can also lead and develop talent and will be responsible for hiring, development of talent, and management of between 3 and 8 junior-early career scientific team members (such as research assistants, outcomes research associates, consultants). This is a multi-faceted role that includes being a subject matter expert as it relates to health measures and patient studies, having research methods and measurement expertise, leading business development initiatives, and managerial experience. As scientist and manager, the individual in this position is expected to act as Principal Investigator (or Science Advisor, if advanced enough) for several projects at a time (or PI on one), and actively present and publish findings with colleagues. Typically, 40-60% of time is expected to be on billable projects (depending on number of direct reports and other duties).
Essential Functions
Participates or leads teams in the design, development, and delivery of consulting projects or components of larger, complex projects.
Provides direction and guidance to Analysts, Consultants, and where relevant, to Statistical Services assigned to research projects.
Develops detailed documentation and specifications.Performs quantitative analyses.
Designs, structures and delivers client reports and presentations that are appropriate to the characteristics or needs of the audience.Recommends improvements and alternative solutions to resolve problems.
Manages a small number of junior to early career scientific team members. Responsible for hiring and development of talent for team.
Follows company standards and standard operating procedures in research and management.
May identify new business opportunities of follow-on work and new leads at assigned client.Provides follow-up with client after project deliverable has been completed to ensure client satisfaction.
Proactively develops broader and deeper knowledge of related consulting methodologies and life sciences market through on the job experience and participation in training opportunities. Begins to develop CoE specific subject matter expertise.
Qualifications
Master's or PhD Degree required.5-8 years of related experience in clinical outcome assessment or other relevant survey research methodology required.
Prior experience or avid interest in the healthcare and life science industries.
Possesses solid project management skills and client influencing and relationship building skills.
Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.
Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities and deliver on tight deadlines.
Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area.
Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the life science industry is a plus but not required.
Excellent presentation, communication and client influencing skills.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $151,200.00 - $252,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
