Here’s the Gist:

Wolfspeed’s Global Epi Team is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Technician. This person will be responsible for performing equipment start-up, modifications, upgrades, troubleshooting and maintenance on production and R&D systems. This role will interact directly with equipment engineering, process engineering, and other groups to meet Wolfspeed goals. This person will be responsible for a diverse mixture of actives with a strong emphasis on hands-on mechanical assembly, high-vacuum systems and electrical work.

This is a 12-hour night shift position.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on tools in accordance with equipment specifications

  • Perform electro-mechanical root-cause troubleshooting of semiconductor manufacturing equipment

  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, blueprints, etc.

  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment checks

  • Work with equipment and process engineers to understand process-equipment interactions and limitations relative to operating specifications

  • Modify equipment to improve up-time or overall process performance (as needed)

This Job is Right for You if You Have:

  • AAS in an engineering discipline or military equivalent

  • 3 years industrial equipment maintenance experience

  • Working knowledge of electrical systems with the ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and maintenance manuals

  • Mechanical background - because of the uniqueness of the equipment, you will not possess prior experience on these tools

  • Organized, neat, detail-oriented, conscientious, and thorough

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • PC experience – MS Word, Excel, Access

This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
