The scope of job activities includes pre-formulation, prototype formulation and scale up studies of Transdermal Dosage Forms (Patches) and Oral film as part of product development and subsequently the transfer of processes and technologies to commercial manufacturing sites. The position will involve developing and executing technical plans to meet target drug product profiles through in-house research.

  • Designing formulation (Defining QTPP, CQA, CPP, CMA) and process development as per QbD concept using DOE.

  • Execute transdermal and oral film drug product development strategies leading to regulatory submission for NDA/ANDA.

  • Support GLP/GMP manufacturing including provision of process instruction, batch record review and hands on resource

  • Familiar with CMC related activities including formulation development, process development and container/closure system.

  • Produce deliverables for assigned projects in a timely manner.

  • Hands on experience in vitro drug release studies using artificial membranes or Human Cadaver Skin

  • Present interpreted results and updates to seniors.

  • Experience in Transdermal Product development/GMP laboratory setting.

  • Able to execute protocols, write reports and compilation of analytical reports.

  • Hands on experience in formulation development for Topical/Transdermal drug delivery.

  • Able to design strategy for development of non-infringing formulation.

  • Skilled in drug delivery optimization, using DOE wherever applicable.

  • Sound knowledge of product development for Transdermal/Oral film drug delivery system.

  • BS Chemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences or related, with 3+ years of experience

  • MS Chemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences or related, with 2+ years of experience.

LAB TECHNICIANS - Must be able to bend at the waist and knees as well as twist at the trunk. • Must practice good personal hygiene • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. • Must be able to wear laboratory protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, respirators, and protective gloves.
