Overview

Summary:

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of all Strata Solar facilities. This role requires a demonstrated ability, knowledge, and experience to perform maintenance operations, handling multiple facilities or locations. The role oversees a robust Facility Sustainment, Repair, and Modernization program at all Strata facilities. In addition, the Facilities and Maintenance Manager will manage space allocation and facility growth requirements forecasting, maintenance and facility operations budgets, advise and assist with permitting and construction management in support of new and current company facilities, and advise and oversee facility related contract and lease management.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Key architect of the company’s facility sustainment, repair, and modernization program, driving preventative maintenance programs and meeting emerging requirements.

  • Develop and implement company policies and procedures for facility utilization, routine and emergency maintenance requests and requirements, and facility life cycle programs.

  • Requires travel up to 50% within the Central Eastern region of the U.S. and up to 10% nationally.

  • Hire, supervise, and schedule Strata facilities field maintenance team personnel.

  • Schedule and supervise trades and services related to construction, maintenance, and preventative maintenance, including electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee periodic and preventive maintenance programs for all company facilities; manage warranties, assure user and vendor policy compliance, and enforce maintenance cost controls.

  • Manage all facility related regulatory compliance programs, to include scheduling and managing any building, fire safety, elevator, environmental, and any other code compliance inspection and maintenance programs.

  • Develop, implement, and assess performance metrics for the facility management team aligned with company strategic goals.

  • Budget and forecast operating funds to support acceptable level of service for facility portfolio maintenance.

  • Proficiency with common computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Access, Project & SharePoint; Viewpoint,)

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • The Strata Facilities Manager supervises a team of direct reports responsible for the daily execution of all facility maintenance duties.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • 3+ years related facility management or maintenance experience, preferably at a multi facility complex or organization with multiple locations.

  • Must have supervisory experience, preferably with maintenance or skilled trade personnel.

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, collaborative attitude, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Additional Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with creating and overseeing a commercial building inspections program.

  • Experience with commercial facilities mechanical systems.

  • CFM (Certified Facility Manager), or equivalent certifications showing progressive knowledge in Facility Management, to include IFMA certification, APWA or other national facility management organization.

  • Program Management experience.

  • Time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.

  • Keen attention to detail and efficient problem –solving skills.

  • Demonstrated Leadership experience.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
