Hiring Range: $76,399 - $118,415

Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Monday - Friday (40-hours a week)

*This is a "hybrid" position with the option to work remotely up to three days per week pending acceptable performance.

Devoted to providing management analysis and oversight; departmental budget and personnel management; program administration and oversight; risk management and safety services. Incumbents serve as a designated subject matter expert, performing complex analysis, fiscal management, and/or program administration, which may include providing supervision to paraprofessional (non-exempt) employees, serving as a lead to professional staff, or managing cross-functional projects. Decision-making includes providing input into management objectives, establishing work goals and objectives of a unit to carry out management direction, and selecting the method to address a problem or issue, subject to the constraints established by management objectives and direction.

Responsible for providing general management oversight work related to financial, performance, personnel, or program administration functions such as preparing and administering budgets; preparing and administering grants; researching and drafting reports; compiling and analyzing information and making recommendations; coordinating personnel and programs; providing supervision to assigned staff; coordinating the procurement process for a department; and coordinating personnel processes for a department.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Overseeing contractors and deliverables for services.

  • Monitoring and coordinating capital expenditures for repairs and maintenance.

  • Managing the deployment and disposal of the City’s facility assets.

  • Administering contracts for facility operations and/or maintenance.

  • Administration of accreditation maintenance and protocol compliance.

  • Managing vendors and maintaining desirable service delivery.

  • Maintaining written directives, policies, and procedures to meet compliance standards.

  • Analyzing performance data for accreditation compliance.

  • Developing training materials based on employee performance reviews.

  • Serving as a business generalist for a department handling one or more of the following: procurement, finance, budget, human resources and/or marketing.

  • Leading or supervising the work of other staff.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, or directly related field OR equivalent experience.

  • Five years of professional experience that includes subject-matter expertise and knowledge in area related to assignment.

  • A valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record within 60 days of hire.

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of Powell Bill experience is desired.
