Actalent Certified Medical Assistant in Durham, North Carolina

Description:

• Responsibilities: Candidates will be responsible for point of care testing: urine, A1C, and glucose. Candidates may be asked to assist the front desk with scheduling, checking in/out, and answering phone calls. This clinic serves the underserved population, most of whom are uninsured. On average, they see 11 patients in the morning, and 8 in the afternoon.

o Answering telephones and greeting patients

  • Updating information for each patient in his/her medical record

  • Entering completed patient registration packets in EPIC

  • Scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays and other administrative duties as directed.

• Performance Measurements:

Quality and accuracy in carrying out point of care testing, patient feedback as it relates to customer service.

• Qualifications:

o 6-months’ experience as a CMA preferred, but recent graduates will be considered

o CMA certification required (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA) 4) AHA BLS certification required

o Team-oriented, thorough/quality work, and dependability required

o Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred, but not required

• Hours (please confirm): Monday-Friday from 8:00a-5:00p

• Length of Assignment: 6-month contract with the opportunity to apply/interview for permanent vacancies

• Ability to apply/interview for perm vacancies: Yes

• Interview Process (Will this be a virtual or F2F interview, and who is involved?): Zoom interview first, second round interview onsite to get a feel for the micro-clinic (walk-in meet and greet).
