In this position you will serve as technical support for the Division Project Development Engineer and the Division Project Development Team in planning, design, and construction of all division managed projects. You would support the preparation of contract documents, bidding and award of contracts, tracking project costs, tracking minority goal participation, and creating municipal, county and developer agreements. Your responsibilities will include creating purchase orders, checking and comparing cost estimates and rates, issuing notices to proceed, and processing invoices. You will be responsible for inventories, personnel packages, electronic content management, data reports, schedule maintenance, funding requests, local project letters and closeout, post-letting data processing, general correspondence, public inquiries, and supporting the Division in its project development task. You will also oversee and review the work of less experienced administrative staff involved in the work of the unit.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports
Experience interpreting and/or explaining policies, procedures, and laws
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and provide oversight and support to less experienced staff
General knowledge of state and/or federal rules and regulations to determine compliance
Additional Expectations:
Working knowledge of accounting principles and concepts. Knowledge of DOT policies and procedures and experience with SAP. Ability to prepare and/or review reports relating to project data to a high degree of accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively for the purposes of coordination with a wide variety of individuals and to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Knowledge of and the ability to use correct grammar, vocabulary, spelling, proofreading and office terminology to compose and/or proofread correspondence. Ability in the use of office equipment such as calculators, computers, printers, scanners and copiers.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
