Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Onboarding Specialist Child Care Administration in Durant, Oklahoma
Job Purpose and Objective: As the Onboarding Specialist for Early Childhood, you will ensure the safety of children attending Child Care/Head Start programs by completing criminal background investigations promptly to determine employment suitability.
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
$50,000-$55,855
Primary Tasks:
You will provide applications and information to center managers/supervisors to facilitate completion of the background record check process.
Collaborate with HR to hire candidates promptly by providing HR with the required background checks, along with director's approval to hire candidate.
Process background searches related to background screening applications.
Review Criminal History Record Results (CHRR) from the Office of Background Investigations.
Communicate with the Office of Background Investigations in obtaining missing information and out-of-state results.
Coordinate and follow-up on submitted applications in-state and inter-state.
Manage applicant's background file to ensure all confidential criminal history checks and state documents are maintained and secured.
Order and allocate IdentoGo voucher code for fingerprinting, record credit card charges for reconciliation of monthly credit card payments and manage the bill paying process and ensures payment to vendor for background check investigations.
Help with Non-Criminal Justice Security Awareness Training for staff with Access and Review.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements:
Associate degree in applied science or related field and two [2] years of HR experience, OR four [4] years of directly related experience in lieu of education.
Knowledgeable with computer including Microsoft products and other web applications.
Must obtain CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Security) Certification within 90 days of employment.
Focus on details while keeping the larger goals in context, take ownership for multiple assignments, prioritize work, and delegate when needed.
Understanding of current hiring protocols and procedures
Maintain complete confidentiality when handling sensitive documentation and information.
