Position Details

The Materials Processing (MP) Division of Terex is currently seeking a motivated individual to support the Group Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) function. Reporting to the HSE Director, MP Group, you will be responsible for implementing consistency across the MP Global portfolio, including integration of new businesses and sharing of best practice. You will also ensure completion of Terex SIF roadmaps, through collaboration with the site Champions, driving business excellence through MPX (business system) and ensuring excellent standards of HSE as well as 5S/Visual management. You will also provide assistance for GMs, Operations Directors, HSE teams across the MP Global sites with primary responsibility for achieving safety and environmental related performance objectives and compliance to all applicable regulatory standards.

Overall, the aim of this role is to further streamline and strengthen our HSE management to ensure world-class results by promoting sharing of knowledge, group transparency, HSE professional development and a safety culture. This individual will also be responsible to assure sustainability, environmental compliance, environmental and process optimization, process hazards mitigation and sustainability.

 

Main Duties

  • Improve MP HSE performance, reduce injuries through engineering and administrative controls and improve training through the development of the site HSE Team and Leadership teams

  • Monitor KPI's, report cards, monthly, quarterly and annually on progress. Identify and react to unsatisfactory trends. Ensure accuracy of information.

  • Promote Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and sustainability requirements within the MP Sites

  • Mentor and coach the global HSE Team, GMs, Ops directors on HSE policies and best practice to continually improve HSE performance through the implementation of HSE improvement plans.

  • Assist the sites HSE and sustainability policy development, strategic planning, Zero Harm and SIF Roadmaps.

  • Support the Terex Compliance auditing program, advising sites on regulatory compliance

  • Provide HSE advice specific to the businesses, acting as a technical expert and internal consultant.

  • Supporting the sites to develop short, medium and long-term activities and innovative preventative strategies and program for sustained HSE Performance and continually enhance the safety culture.

  • Share best practice from other sites.

  • Provide guidance for optimizing processes with environmental impacts ensure environmental controls, waste management systems, carbon and energy reduction projects are implemented.

  • Support the implementation of excellent standards of 5S and Visual Management, carry out calibration audits.

  • Ensuring compliance to policies and procedures through internal and external site inspections to ensure the sites meet all local, state, and national regulatory requirements.

  • Support business growth plans through HSE integration plans.

  • Supporting sites when HSE teams on site are absent with a hands-on approach.

  • Supporting the implementation of the MPX Business System.

  • Provide HSE training.

  • Develop a risk assessment and risk avoidance culture within MP Group to avoid incidents and injury.
