DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will be performing technical work by analyzing cases and accurately completing a wide variety of transactions to establish and adjust overpayments, recover overpaid monies, manage child support intercept (CSI), and make necessary adjustments to claims with various program types. You will have the opportunity to identify procedural problems based on the nature and/or quantity of inquiries and report findings and possible solutions to supervisor and/or manager. Communication is a key aspect of this position as you will be corresponding with claimants, employers, UC Service Centers, Office of UC Tax Services, and other departmental agencies and interested parties while abiding by our disclosure guidelines and being sensitive to the privacy of our customers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Work hours may vary depending on operational needs. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Duquesne. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
