Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements. Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. Plans sequence of fabrication and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers. Confers with department Supervisors and Managers to determine status of planned and released schedules. Expedites operations with delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Prepares production reports. May prepare lists of required materials, tools, and equipment. Assign production in order to reduce the costs of the company, as well as be able to meet delivery deadlines. Reviews and works parts weekly and continually monitors the production process and suggests process improvements. Schedule the production process and production departments synchronously according to material, employee and availability of equipment. What you'll need: Four-year technical degree plus minimum 2 years of manufacturing/logistics scheduling and production planning experience; or equivalent experience (5+ years) ERP system experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience with logistics planning and routing. Analytical and problem-solving skills to enable successful execution of production plans to meet and exceed customer expectations and drive continuous improvement. Highly organized individual who can manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously and adapt to on-going changing situations in fast-paced dynamic environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information tactfully and effectively to all levels of the organization.
