Job Title: Extrusion Technician
Job Description
Reporting to the Manufacturing Shift Lead, the Extrusion Technician will be responsible for measuring and recording quality information, adjusting equipment, assisting in changeovers and startups, and packaging products. Prior success as an Extrusion Technician or equivalent position and experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the shift leader at the start of each shift to establish a course of action for self and the team to ensure efficient completion of all work.
Ensure pre-planning and preparations are in place prior to machine shutdown.
Follow safety requirements and company safety guidelines at all times.
Complete changeovers of the extrusion line within the designated timeframe.
Assist in maintaining extrusion tooling quality and organization.
Perform print line set-up and print line changes to meet all order requirements.
Possess proficient knowledge of all quality requirements for products being produced.
Perform all quality checks and documentation in accordance with ASTM standards.
Make necessary adjustments to product specifications to ensure the production of quality products.
Complete appropriate paperwork to ensure accurate inventory information.
Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the assigned work area.
Assist other extrusion technicians in start-ups as needed or directed.
Work effectively with individuals of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, abilities, motivations, or backgrounds.
Be responsible for cross-training and bench strength development per the guidelines set by the shift leader.
Take initiative to identify and report problems to the shift leader and utilize resources to solve issues in the absence of the shift leader.
Present effective leadership in the absence of the shift leader, including administering discipline in accordance with company policies when necessary.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience with extrusion, extrusion machines, and machine operation.
Knowledge of production line and molding machines.
Mechanical abilities and understanding of the extrusion process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
